What ages can try out?
The Diamond Reapers are a 9U team for the Fall 2026 season, built for motivated 8- and 9-year-old players. To qualify for 9U, a player can't be older than 9 before May 1. If you're unsure whether your player's birthdate qualifies, just ask us.
Where is the team located?
We're based in the Stansbury Park / Tooele County area and welcome players from Salt Lake County and nearby Utah communities. Exact practice locations are being finalized.
How often does the team practice?
Three practices per week. Exact days, times, and locations will be shared with the team once finalized.
Will the team play in tournaments?
Yes — tournaments will be added as the team becomes ready. The focus in Fall 2026 is development first, with competitive play ramping up through Spring/Summer 2027.
What does it cost to play?
Player dues and what they include are being finalized. Fundraising and sponsorship opportunities will be available to help families with costs.
What uniforms and gear are included?
The Fall kit includes one black game jersey, two pairs of custom white pants, an orange belt, black/orange/blue socks, and a fitted black/orange hat. Final details are subject to vendor proofing.
How many players will make the roster?
Roster size is being finalized and will be shared before tryouts. We keep rosters small enough that every player gets real development time.
How is playing time handled?
This is a development-first program. Every player on the roster is here to develop, and practice effort and coachability matter. As we move into tournament play, competitive situations may affect in-game decisions, but development remains the priority at 9U.
Can my player do other sports too?
Yes. We believe multi-sport athletes become better baseball players. We ask for communication about conflicts and a real commitment to the three-practices-per-week rhythm whenever possible.
When will roster decisions be made?
Families will be contacted after the July 25, 2026 tryout. The exact decision timeline will be communicated at tryouts.
